My passion for creating media texts doesn't simply come from my studies, but from my genuine enthusiasm for telling stories without necessarily using words.
I am a Media and Communciations student with a curiosity about all things creative- I am eager to explore the endless possibilities which lay head of me, I am keen to expand on my existing experiences. I hope to pursue a career within the media industry because I once heard that if you enjoy what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.
As a 20 year old in the millenial age, I have been fully emerged into the fascinating world we live in, a world of digital connectivity via social media. Although I am a frequent user of the main social media platforms, instagram, facebook- you name it I'll have an account- I also admire a post-digital ways of creating media texts- polaroid images and hand-drawn art all tell stories the same way, simply without the hashtags and @ tags.
In a world where social media takes dominance over everything around us, it is crucial to keep a balance between virtual and real life, photographs allow you to relive a real moment even years after it has been taken, I think that is the beauty of being able to tell a story with the click of a button.
